About Donald Ford Counseling
Meet Don Ford - Counselor, LMHC, MCAP
My name is Don Ford, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges, including substance use and addictions, trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, low self-esteem, and LGBTQIA+ concerns.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we will work to empower, motivate, and support you on your journey toward healing and growth. I help individuals of all ages move beyond life dissatisfaction and develop the tools needed to live healthy, fulfilling, and meaningful lives.
Over the years, I’ve come to deeply appreciate each client’s unique story, strengths, and struggles. My approach is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Solution-Focused techniques to create lasting, positive change. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support individuals healing from trauma.
I understand that reaching out for help can be incredibly difficult—and I want to honor the courage it takes to take that first step. You are stronger than you may realize, and I would be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable and safe for you, in a space that is compassionate, supportive, and honest.
